Zalando Prive launches in Spain
Zalando is leveraging its Zalando Prive app as it enters the Spanish market. It will be operating early morning flash sales to appeal to Spanish customers whilst simultaneously launching its full line, full price fashion store, zalando.es. Martin Rost, SVP Offprice at Zalando said: “Customers are always looking for a great selection of brands and great deals – no matter if it is in the morning straight after waking up, on their way to work or during a lunch break. This is why we need to be there where they are, which is on their mobile phones.” Speculation is rife in the market that Zalando’s recent losses and profit warnings, which have seen its share price dive, have left it vulnerable to takeover, with Amazon and H&M viewed as potential buyers.
