Amazon in bid to improve its reputation

Amazon which was recently reported as wantonly destroying millions of perfectly usable unsold products every year, by sending them to landfill,  including over 3 million items in France alone, has responded to customer and media outrage by commencing with a new charity donations initiative.

Fulfilment by Amazon Donations will become the default option for all Amazon sellers who store their products in Amazon fulfilment centres when they wish to dispose of unsold merchandise. In the UK Barnardo's, Newlife and the Salvation Army will receive donations.
