GDPR & Data Guidance in 2020
Created exclusively for the DCA BGA
Led by GDPR practitioner & consultant, Rob Bielby.
Almost 2 years on from the introduction of GDPR and with a lot of the unknowns now known and the uncertain or unclear elements now clarified, this workshop will address all of the base principles for compliant data management for the new decade. In particular, the latest updates on the ‘Soft opt-in’, the application of Legitimate Interest and what does it mean for mail-order businesses. Handling Subject Access Requests and building a compliant programme and procedures will provide a structure but answering individual queries and questions will be the main part of the workshop. What can you do if you ran an unnecessary ‘stay with us’ campaign, you are not alone! What does the recent Direct Marketing consultation paper published by the ICO 2020 contain?
