River Island grows sales in tough market

River Island has posted its results for the year ending 31st December 2017. Overall sales had increased from £932.7 million to £970.5 million, representing growth of four per cent with online and mobile sales showing a 21 per cent increase.  The retailer remains bullish about the future despite having suffered a seven per cent drop in its operating profit which came in at £135.7 million.

During the current year, River Island has opened new stores and is ploughing investment into its digital offering.
