Burberry signs up with Farfetch


Burberry is to sell its full range online via the Farfetch marketplace. Farfetch enables consumers in 190 countries to purchase luxury fashion items from over 700 upmarket boutiques. The move by Burberry will bring its range to as younger consumer profile.

“We want the digital expression of our brand to represent the very best in brand and product storytelling whether on our own platforms of through partners, and Farfetch customers globally can now access the full Burberry offer, “commented its digital marketing manager Daniel Heaf.

US reports suggest that Farfetch is getting ready for flotation on the New York Stock Exchange with a valuation of cUS$5 billion being mooted.
