John Lewis has extended its operations capability via the opening of two distribution centres within its Magna Park estate in Milton Keynes. The new capacity will support the retailer’s expanding online and home delivery requirements and enable the consolidation of multi – merchandise orders into single, more cost-effective deliveries. Operations director Dino Rocos commented “Not only will this help customers receive their orders quicker and in fewer parcels, but fewer driving miles and less packaging will help reduce our operational emissions and waste. He added, “Our distribution operations are at the heart of our business and these advanced facilities enable us to adapt to the ever-evolving retail market.”
