Brait increases stake in Iceland

Brait has acquired the 38 per cent stake in  Iceland held by Lord Kirkham and his co-investors. The deal,worth £172 million,  now makes Brait the largest shareholder in the retailer with 57 per cent. Iceland directors including Malcolm Walker hold the balance and will retain operational control over the retail chain.
