Body Shop increases sales


Body Shop,  owned by L’Oreal since 2006, increased its sales  to £435.7 million in the year to 20 December 2013, up from £431.7 million for the year prior, returning pre-tax profits of £57 million. The business had tested a new store format during the year which it will now roll out across its 3044 outlets across 64 countries. It also acquired a 51 per cent stake in Brazilian business Emporio Body Store at the end of 2013 and is now expanding operations in Brazil.
