Clipper Logistics sales grow post IPO

Leeds headquartered Clipper Logistics has returned strong results following its recent flotation. The business which provides logistics services for multichannel and online retailers from its 1,000,000 sq.ft of distribution and support sites, including John Lewis, Morrisons, and Tesco, posted sales of £201.2 million, up by 25.5 per cent on the year to April 2014. The company has added a number of new clients to its roster over the past year, including ASOS, SuperGroup and Antler, and has entered the German market via its acquisition of R. Geist Spedition. It also forecasts strong growth from its Boomerang returns processing service.

* Philip Morris has just awarded Clipper Logistics the contract for the handling of its UK storage and distribution.
