Pets at Home increases its sales

Pets at Home has returned £87 million in pre-tax profit on sales of £729.1 million in its most recent financial year. The business has 400 UK stores which have seen strong growth in click and collect activity which accounted for some 40 per cent of its online revenues in the last quarter.  Notably customers loyally  using its smaller branches have warmed to being able to order from a much wider range than the smaller store can stock yet still collect from their regular store. The business plans to open around 20 new stores this year plus 50-55 veterinary practices, 55 pet salons as well as five upmarket dog stores under the Barkers brand name.
