Game over for UK arm of Toys R Us

Toys R Us has entered administration following its failure to find a buyer after poor Christmas trading rendered it impossible for the retailer to continue trading without major investment. Then came a £15 million VAT bill which, on top of a £37 million deficit in its pension fund, gave the business little option but to fold. There are 3200 employees affected and who could face redundancy as stores close.
