VF Corporation and Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co has announced that they signed a definitive merger agreement. The transaction is expected to complete early in the fourth quarter of the year with VF paying Williamson-Dickie shareholders approximately US $820 million in cash.
Williamson-Dicke brands which include Dickies, Workrite, Terra, and Walls will join VF’s current workwear offerings including Wrangler, RIGGS Workwear, Timberland PRO and Horace Small. Williamson-Dickie CEO Philip Williamson will remain with the company which employs over 7000 individuals worldwide including a UK team based in the southwest of England.
